About our CNA program
Our facility offers a class to help prepare students to take the Florida Certified Nursing Assistant exam. Students are given the opportunity to learn CNA skills in a clinical laboratory setting. Students are taught by nurses with years of experience in a variety of patient care settings.
Our classroom instruction includes an introduction to health care including topics such as basic nursing assistant skills, theory behind infection control principles, resident rights and current safety practices.
Our clinical portion of the program is conducted in the laboratory within our facility. Students have the opportunity to put into practical use all the 21 skills necessary for obtaining a state license as a Certified Nursing Assistant. All students receive individual instructor - demonstrated skills and exhibit learning by return demonstration and supervised practice.
Upon completion of the 3-week class, all students will be scheduled for the Florida state certified nursing assistant test.
